September Reflections
Dear Friends in Christ,
September always feels like a turning point. The long, warm days of summer give way to cooler evenings, the fields begin to show signs of harvest, and we notice subtle changes all around us. Nature itself reminds us that life comes in seasons.
The writer of Ecclesiastes said it so well: “For everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven“ (Ecclesiastes 3:1). September invites us to pause and reflect on the season we are in – not only in the calendar, but in our own lives.
Perhaps you are in a season of new beginnings – starting school, returning to routines, or opening yourself to new opportunities. Maybe you are in a season of waiting, or even a season of letting go. Wherever you find yourself, God’s promise remains steady: His presence is with us in every season.
The beauty of autumn is not just in in its colors, but in its reminder that change can be a gift. The leaves that fall make room for new life in the spring. In the same way, God often uses transitions to prepare us for growth we cannot yet see.
This month, I encourage you to take a few moments each day to notice the changing world around you. Let each shift in nature be a gentle reminder of God’s faithfulness – the One who never changes, even as seasons do.
May we walk into September with open hearts, trusting that the God who brings forth harvest in the fields will also bring forth fruit in our lives.
With grace and peace,
Pastor Bev
