Weddings & Rehearsals
"We affirm the sanctity of the marriage covenant that is expressed in love, mutual support, personal commitment and shared fidelity between a man and a woman. We believe that God's blessing rests upon such marriage, whether or not there are children of the union. We reject social norms that assume different standards for women than for men in marriage. We support laws in civil society that define marriage as the union of one man and one woman." - UMBOD 161(C)2016

Funerals
"Jesus said, I am the resurrection, and I am life. Those who believe in me, even though they die, yet shall they live, and whoever lives and believes in me shall never die. I am the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last I died, and behold, I am alive for evermore, and I hold the keys of death and hell. Because I live, you shall live, also." -The Word of Grace
